The glass fronted Excelsior is a revolutionary type of fire within the UK and contains Patented catalytic technology to allow installation into homes without needing to provide any type of flueing.

This technology effectively 'cleans' the combustion gases, converting Carbon Monoxide into harmless Carbon Dioxide. The Centurion can also assist in neutralising airborne particles present in the home such as cooking odours, cigarette smoke and dust mites found in carpets and furnishings, helping to create a cleaner and friendlier environment.

Because the Excelsior does not require a flue, all of the heat energy is distributed into the room, resulting in a 100% efficient appliance. The energy input required is just 2.6kW resulting in low running costs.

The only considerations when installing this appliance are an accessible gas supply, together with ventilation and minimum room size requirments. The Excelsior is available for those with smaller rooms. The minimum room size for this appliance is 30m3 (typically a room 12' x 12' x 7'6") and requires 100cm2 of purpose provided ventilation together with an openable window or louvre. The Excelsior has a reduced heat input and output of 2.6kW.

Excelsior fires are fitted with a thermostat, which will automatically adjust heat output to one of the six settings on the control valve. Again, this feature helps to reduce the levels ofenergy used, further reducing running costs.

Also available with a pebble fuel bed as an extra cost option.

It is recommended that flueless appliances be used in conjunction with central heating, and not relied upon as a sole heat source.
